LOCATION of the New York Chessie Fun Weekend:
Our annual event is held at our rescue headquarters: 2870 Chase Rd., Rock Stream, NY 14878, just 5 miles north of the "Glen." Rock Stream is a small area about 5 miles north of Watkins Glen, New York. Chase Road is off of Rte. 14, the main road running along the West side of Seneca Lake. At the north end of Seneca Lake is the town of Geneva. At the south end of Seneca Lake is Watkins Glen.

SIMPLE DIRECTIONS:
From Watkins Glen, drive 5 miles north on Rte. 14 and turn left onto Chase Rd.
From Geneva, drive 26 miles south on Rte. 14 and turn right onto Chase Rd.

Detailed DIRECTIONS from the Buffalo or Syracuse area:
Take the NY State Thruway (I-90) to the Geneva exit. Follow the signs to head into Geneva, staying on Rte. 14 South. In Geneva, you'll see a truck route and the regular Rte. 14 signs. Follow either one and you will eventually be on the main lake road (still Rte. 14) that runs along the WEST side of Seneca Lake. Continue on Rte. 14 South for about 25 miles toward Watkins Glen. (lake is over 30 miles long). You'll pass many vineyards. After passing Glenora Vineyard on your left, begin to pay attention to the street signs on your right. Staying on Rte. 14, you'll pass Rock Stream Rd, Hunt Rd., then Old Lake Rd. You'll see a double billboard sign up ahead on the left. Quickly SLOW DOWN and turn RIGHT onto Chase Rd. GAS Stations...be forewarned, along the west side of Seneca Lake, there are only a couple of gas stations which are NOT open at all hours. The Sunoco station about 10 miles north of our location does offer gas 24 hours a day if you use a credit card. At both ends of Seneca Lake, you will find 24 hour gas stations in the towns of Geneva and Watkins Glen. Yes, Seneca Lake is LONG...over 30 miles.
